Data-mapping tool extended with register of image processing activities

The Claeys & Engels data protection team has extended its data‑mapping tool with a register of image-processing activities. The users of the tool can now easily dock the new records of surveillance cameras in one place.

In our newsflash of 16 August 2018, we explained that since 25 May 2018 companies with surveillance cameras have to maintain specific records of image-processing activities.

The records must contain additional data to the data in the register of processing activities.

The Claeys & Engels data protection team has extended its data mapping tool, which can be used to maintain a register of processing activities, with specific records of image-processing activities. In this way, all our clients can maintain both records with the one tool.

If you are interested in our register of image-processing activities, please get in touch with your usual contact person at Claeys & Engels or write to gdpr@claeysengels.be.

Of course, we are happy to help you align your camera policy with all other adjustments to the law (electronic declaration, additional obligational specifications on the signs etc.).

We hope that our register of image processing activities can help make your camera policy legally compliant.
